Wichita Rugby Foundation Mission

The Wichita Barbarians RFC was the main impetus in the formation of the Wichita Rugby Foundation. These two separate entities have a shared goal of improving Wichita's rugby. The Barbarians were formed in 1973 and continue to build to a competitive and winning club.

The Foundation is organized specifically for the educational purposes to provide instruction, awareness and appreciation of the amateur sport of rugby football. The main priority of the Foundation will be to assist in the formation, education, and maintenance of the Wichita Youth Rugby Program, the Wichita Area High School Program, and the Wichita State University Collegiate Program. The Foundation is seeking community partners to help with the realization of it's goals.

The Wichita Rugby Foundation and the Wichita Rugby Club began an under-19 Spring rugby program in 2008 for the Greater Wichita area. Visit the U-19 page for more information.
